Local Attractions

The Odd Wheel Inn is ideally situated in the South Hams area of Devon, near the coast and there are many lovely places to visit either prior or after your visit to the Odd Wheel to sample our delights!

Beaches

The Odd Wheel is close to Wembury Beach and in easy reach of several other popular South Devon beaches, namely: Bantham, Bigbury on Sea, Bovisand, Challaborough, Mothecombe, Thurlestone and South Milton Sands to name but a few.

Dartmoor National Park

The Odd Wheel is located near the edge of the Dartmoor National Park which provides a plethora of activities for the active amongst you including Walking, Cycling, Climbing, Canoeing, Horse Riding, Fishing or Letterboxing. If you are looking for a more sedate time why not visit one of the heritage sites, ancient archaeological ruins or natural attractions. Alternatively, simply appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside and wildlife.

Plymouth

Wembury is only approximately 7 miles from the centre of the City of Plymouth, which is well worth a visit. Attractions of note include the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Hoe (of Sir Francis Drake playing bowls fame), the Historic Barbican (where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America from the Mayflower Steps) and the West Country's most popular shopping centre, Drake Circus.
